ASAM Level 3.1 — Clinically Managed Low-Intensity Residential
About
L.I.F.E. Visions Recovery brings structured housing and clinical services together for adults in Baltimore, Maryland, at ASAM Level 3.1.
Our approach
Sustained change is hard to build when daily life keeps pulling in the opposite direction. A structured residential setting takes some of that pressure off, so clinical work has room to land.
Every person arrives with a different history, a different set of supports, and a different next step. That is why services here follow an individualized assessment and a treatment plan developed with the person — not a fixed curriculum applied to everyone.
The work is practical and unglamorous: routine, honest conversation, skills practiced until they hold, and a plan for what happens after residential care ends.

The name
Each word carries a piece of what the program is trying to do.
L
Recovery asks people to learn new patterns in real time. Structured days create room for that learning to take hold.
I
Lasting change is built inside a person, not handed to them. Clinical work focuses on what someone carries with them after discharge.
F
Freedom here means choice: the capacity to respond rather than react, supported by skills practiced daily.
E
It already exists within each adult who walks through the door. The work is uncovering it and giving it somewhere safe to grow.
Program support
Service areas the program is built around. Exact services and frequency depend on assessment and treatment planning.
A written plan shaped with each adult, reviewed as needs change. Goals, supports, and next steps are set together rather than assigned.
Individual sessions and group services that address substance use and the day-to-day realities around it. Type and frequency follow the treatment plan.
Practical, repeatable skills — coping strategies, routine, triggers, and early-warning signs — practiced in a structured residential setting.
Coordination and referral support so treatment connects with the other parts of a person's life rather than sitting apart from them.
Support in building sober connection and engaging with recovery community resources in and around Baltimore.
Discharge planning begins early: what continuing care may look like, who is involved, and how support continues after residential care ends.
Transparency
Rather than publish details that might be wrong, we leave them unstated until they are verified.
